Good morning,

Our minor repairs for Friendship Park are underway. We are repairing the existing irrigation system this week to make way for the next series of improvements that will begin Monday, October 26th and ending on Friday, November 6th. The improvements include ADA sidewalk connections, fall-zone improvements around the existing play equipment, repairs to the existing equipment, new mulch, sod and trash receptacles. We will provide temporary fencing around portions of these improvements during this time frame. "Work in progress" signs are located at the park to notify neighborhood visitors of the upcoming construction. We wanted to make neighborhood associations aware of the project so that you may be able to contact other residents that may be affected so that they will be able to plan accordingly for visits during this time. The park will remain open, however, some areas and play equipment may be fenced off as they complete each part of the project.
Our next step will be a master plan for long term renovations. We would like to begin this planning effort in late November and will include the community in the process.
